Laura Scott Godin

Those of you who were there when my father started the business, right down the very street we are located on now, have known me since I was born. I was raised here in Burbank. I completed my first through twelfth grade education in the Burbank School System. I continued further education at CSUN. By then I was already working full time for my father. I would say I grew up in the business. It went like this:

When I was old enough, 12 back then, I started my career by filing, making coffee & copies were some of my first duties. By the time I was 18 I was my father's personal assistant (we called them secretary's back then). I did that for about 10 years.

During that time many associates came and went. I became his newest associate, when I was privileged and now so appreciative, to have had one tax season preparing tax returns, by his side, my first year doing interviews. He passed 2 months later. I was his, last Associate.

The knowledge I gained from him, gave me the confidence I needed to continue his legacy, with the same integrity and business savvy that he had.

Over 50 from when it began, how much things have changed. With the invention of computers, cell phones, and internet, all old news now. Technology is growing so fast, things are obsolete before you get them home.

With our latest improvements, we are doing what used to take 5 or 6 people back in the day, to the two of us accomplishing the whole process, right here from our office. It is truly amazing. Just imagine what is over the horizon. Enjoy the ride!
